The study area in its previous form was a craft activity building and the project’s aim was the combination of new uses in the same shell. The new uses of a pastry shop and a coffee lounge, required the definition of a limit with the crafting activity and they  overlap with one another. A basic design parameter was the arrangement of access and circulation areas, as well as the visual marking of the retail department and the seating area. Additionally the selection of materials and textures provided a uniform perception of the space, while the lighting manipulations identified the use zones.
